Bi Luo Chun

This delightful green tea from Anhui Province, China, is picked in early Spring and gently pan-roasted, imparting a slight nuttiness, while retaining the grassy and floral notes that are characteristic of Chinese green teas. During the pan roasting process, the tea leaves curl up into little spirals, hence the name Bi Luo Chun, literally translating to "green snail spring". This tea is best steeped at a slightly lower temperature (65-70C), to retain the delicate umami flavors present in this tea.
